Kata
Ko-do Ryu practices the following
three Karate kata in their original manner:

Sanchin (Miyagi style)
- Rokushu
(Tensho)
- Naihanchin
(Tekki)

| There are an uncountable
number of - modern - Karate styles worldwide.
However, the styles mentioned below can
be considered as mainstream. The following
list broadly establishes which styles
practice the kata mentioned above.

- Goju Ryu, Goju Kai, Shito Ryu and
Kyokushinkai, all practice (Miyagi)
Sanchin and Tensho kata
- Okinawan Shorin Ryu, Japanese Shotokan,
Shotokai, Wado Ryu,and Wado Kai, practice
Naihanchin kata.
- Shito Ryu also practices Naihanchin
kata.
